anywhoo, mysteryman. When someone is looking for a fight & they make a remark to cut me down. If I am feeling very strong I will say .."Oh, you sweet talker" or " You Charmer you"
If I feel like rolling around in the mud aka sinking to their level. I'll lash back.
Being able to rise above it and not absorb the misery leaves me feeling better though.

Shasta - I love that :)
last argument, he was running a half hour late picking up the kids (I already had other plans), I sent him a text asking "you picking up the kids? If so, when, I am supposed to X at Y time?", I sent nothing after that... 3 hours later, he sends me a several very long nasty texts, basically saying I am crazy, blah blah blah...yeah ok.. ignore, ignore, ignore...
in the past, engaging , didn't resolved anything, shrug, instead I don't make plans close to swap time. Can't really do anything about it, no?
What I do is I just laugh at them in my head (never in their faces as that does nothing but infuriate them!) while thinking "you are so freaking pathetic!". Its hard to get mad at someone when you feel sorry for them for being SAD human beings lol
Like ShastaSue, though, there are times when I'm spoiling for a fight too. I'm not proud of the tongue lashings I've administered but at least those b!tches among me (male and female) know I'm a bear better left unpoked. Haha.
Good tactic, mysteryman, posting this on a board full of women lol!
It is so nice that I can walk away from it these days, and no longer have to just take it and live with it on a daily basis.
Why stoop to their level when you don't have to anymore?
