There is no guarantee that (even if you find someone who really does want a relationship and is not lying ) your relationship will be happy and calm, because even if people love each other and are together there are personality conflicts and sometimes you can end up being hurt.
Try to approach it with a calm knowledge that when it comes to matters of the heart, it is just a risky and turbulent path but to me the thrill of when it is good is worth taking a risk of being shot down and be miserable.
If you want to learn to read people, it is difficult yet very simple.
When you are trying to read a guy, just pay attention to his actions rather than what he says. People in general can say anything and eveything, but actions really matter.
For example - if a guy says " I'll call you tomorrow morning" and doesn't call till 5 pm without any explanation, he is really not that interested in you. When a man is really excited about you, he will text you or e-mail you or find any other way to keep in contact with you day and night.
If you see that a man is dedicating a lot of his efforts to other people - his children, parents, siblings, friends, chances are his actions of care towards you will likely remain consistent, and are not just put out as " bait" to get something from you. ( btw women do it too. Not just men)
Also, IMO, the fact that you are not experienced in sex department is also in your favor. People who are looking just to get laid usually want someone who is experienced. They don't want to be bothered with teaching someone how to do things just to have a one night stand.
Good luck and I hope things go well for you.
In the past, women in the media were always portrayed as whores if they liked sex and always were expected to play hard to get and men were suppose to chase her and she was suppose to reject them .
I feel like men were forced to lie, just to get to the woman.
Many people were raised by god fearing generation where a woman was suppose to be asexual. There is a reason why they slept in separate beds in the old times.
Go in slow, get to know them, but try to keep an open mind.
Confidence is your tool while dating. It keeps you putting your best "self" forward and it will keep you defending boundaries if need be. Try telling yourself three good things about yourself every morning when you wake up.
All I can say is you have to just roll up your sleeves and get to it. Dont be afriad of things not working out, cuz that's going to happen sometimes, try to pay attention to the dynamic of the relationship and be honest with your self about if that is what you want. And don't undervalue yourself. You need to be the one to set the rules about how you should be treated, and make sure whoever you're with follows them. If you let anyone else set those rules for you, I promise the bar will never be as high as it should be.
