Healthy Relationships Support Group
No relationship is perfect. A long-term relationship requires constant effort to understand each other, fix misunderstandings, solve problems and continue to grow as both individuals change and evolve. How we deal with our misunderstandings is the focus of this community. Join us to find support, get advice, and share your experience with your relationship.

My advice is get busy!
Start joining meet up groups, volunteer, exercise.
Find fun and interesting things that YOU have always wanted to do but didn't have time for.
I also journal alot, to get my thoughts feelings and ideas down on paper it helps clear my head.
Focus on healing the scars (get therapy if necessary) and get out do things you enjoy, hobbies, activities, go out with friends, think of what made you independenct and happy before you got involved in the relationship.
I just did that today, and I like myself. I feel strong, virile and handsome.
I'm also exercising and making my home more beautiful to me with some special things that make me happy.
It's a process.
Also, good comedies on tv and uplifing music is helpful.
There is life again beyond these poor broken hearts, I know there is.
I met my now ex and we were very compatible, shared the same enthusiasm for life and all of its experiences. Built a good foundation.
As time passed our ideas on life began to change, a I imagine it does with everyone as we get older. We started to grow apart. He had more certainty of his path than I did mine.
Long story short, we are no longer together. After it ended, I realized I was so wrapped up in the relationship that I had no idea who I was anymore. So my solution: to get out and explore the world.
As life has changed my opinion on certain things, thus I do not believe I will ever entirely be that same person I was before. But I now acknowledge those things about me that I love and still possess within me. The other things I take them as life experiences and let them be what they are, past experiences that played a role in who I am becoming today.
I get out more on my own. I hired a counselor for guidance to get through my tough times. I join meetups/common interest groups periodically. I try new things I never did before to see if it is something I could potentially get involved in (hobbies/fitness/social events). The key thing is to get out there and try something and meet new people and hopefully you will see how things fit in your present life. I am still on my journey and I am not very certain of who I am entirely yet, but I know that I am overall having fun learning in the process now.
You should try the same :)
Best.

The I met my ex and after that relationship I am a wreck. He really messed w/my self-esteem.
I am gradually getting better everyday.
I'm deathly afraid to be myself sometimes despite how I look and the superficial industry I'm in, I'm really an old fashion gal who just wants someone that I can love and count on at the end of the day.
good luck
