Dating someone who travels a lot for work can make it harder. If you try it and don't like it, then it wasn't meant to be. You have to decide that for yourself, and don't settle for being unhappy all the time because he makes you so happy on those days you do see him.

Most marriage I know of where one or both spouses travel often they are both fairly independent and are fine with short phone calls at night (and some phone sex it sounds like, lol).

I am willing to try it. I think I will be ok along as there is communication. I have my own thing outside a possible relationship so that helps. I have a good feeling about things.

It's so funny--I'm in the middle of watching the original Airport movie! Both Burt Lancaster's and George Kennedy's wives are complaining about the same thing! And both those guys too loved their aviation jobs! Kennedy was more willing to stay home and make it with his wife, but his boss Lancaster pried him away, because there's a snowstorm and the runway has to be cleared before the planes can take off.

Aviation is a demanding career. Those planes need a lot of maintenance, which demands a lot of hours. Unless your man gives up his career, you're going to have to accept it.

Yeah that is funny. As of right now I appreciate his honesty and I am sure we will talk about it again. I can accept him having a career in aviation. I would try to be as supportive as I can. Only time will tell.
