I'm assuming your female so for you to shower and shave etc for a date takes time. If you focus on what your doing while shaving and blow drying etc it can seem really tedious. If you instead focus on why your doing it (all the fun you'll have on the date) it's just a requirement that really doesn't take that long.
Focusing on chopping, sauteing and "getting your nutrients" is likewise dull but demonstrating love and appreciation for a lover is not. You can always make him dessert. ; )
i'm perfectly willing to make food in spite of not enjoying the process of making it, i was just looking for recipes and ideas which are easy, quick and don't have much washing up involved. the reasons for this are that between my short attention span, clumsiness and forgetfulness, i'm just not cut out for cooking, no matter how hard i tried in the past everything i made came out awful. it's also because we've divided up the chores so that i do everything around the house except cooking and washing dishes, because of my previously mentioned ineptitude for cooking. so it's very wearing having to do these things as well as everything else but i understand i have to do them at the moment while my partner is busy. i just want ideas for food that will make this less stressful for me, also bearing in mind i do still have to study for exams in a month.
If you're looking for something quick, cheap and easy I would suggest Taco Soup. Your basically open cans and stir. It both freezes and reheats well and you can customize it by adding extra veg. to your liking.

The meat can be eliminated if your vegetarian and if you worry about additives from the taco seasoning mix you can make your own mix

Personally I'd eliminate the salt in seasoning mix recipe.
Mastering any pursuit takes time. You wouldn't expect to be able to pick up an unfamiliar instrument or language right away and cooking is really no different. Your past recipe failures could very well be the fault of the recipes. Learning to predict a culinary outcome is challenging. It's like trying to predict if you'd enjoy a tune based on a glace at the score. The better you read sheet music the better you'll do. The more cooking experience you have the better you'll be able to predict.
I hope that helps clarify my earlier post for you and gives you an opportunity to experience a kitchen success.
Again I'm sorry I upset you.
1) To make life easy fix double meals example -for me I am happy to make large pot of something and have it for lunch then later dinner
2) I make very large meal on Sunday and have a few meals for the week to heat up when I come home exhausted from work
3) Crockpots are helpful also
4) freezing a few of these meals can be a life saver, pull it out to defrost in fridge in am.
Yes I am lazy. Paper plates when I can. I hate to clean up especially when I am beat in the evening. Easy meals are my specialty. Sidebar- I stay away from processed deli meats at the deli. I make yogurt fruit smoothies for breakfast. I always make a big batch so when I come home there is something quick to have right away.
