Head and Neck cancers Support Group
Oral cancer or oral cavity cancer, a subtype of head and neck cancer, is any cancerous tissue growth located in the oral cavity. It may arise as a primary lesion originating in any of the oral tissues, by metastasis from a distant site of origin, or by extension from a neighboring anatomic structure, such as the nasal cavity or the maxillary sinus.
I have not gone thru what you have experienced but do hope that you're doing well. I just joined this group because I am experiencing some throat discomfort and would like to know some of the symptoms others have had prior to their diagnosis. I've seen a PA at my ENT's and she dismissed it as acid reflux. But because the burning and discomfort are only one sided and occur randomly (along with swelling under my jaw), I am concerned. If you would care to share some of your experiences with me, I would really appreciate it. If not, I understand. You have, after all, survived a lot of trauma and may not want to talk.
I sincerely wish you all the best and thank you in advance should you care to connect.
