Head and Neck cancers Support Group

Oral cancer or oral cavity cancer, a subtype of head and neck cancer, is any cancerous tissue growth located in the oral cavity. It may arise as a primary lesion originating in any of the oral tissues, by metastasis from a distant site of origin, or by extension from a neighboring anatomic structure, such as the nasal cavity or the maxillary sinus.

    What have you been able to eat/drink

    I'm finishing up my 2nd cycle of chemo & 2nd week of radiation (7 more to go) & desperately trying to find things to eat & drink.     I was just a tt he doctor and i have a white spot on the inside of my cheek, she's not sure what it is. Wants me to see a dermatologist, which i can't get into until June. Would this be the right doctor to see for a spot in my mouth? I am concerned as my mother had oral cancer and died from it about 20 years ago.

    I have just been diagnosed with ACC in the salivary glands/nose/sinuses. I have had the offending cancer removed in 2 surgeries nd now have been advised to have radiation. I have since found 2 people who have both had various degrees of permanent hearing loss as a result of radiation near their sinuses, which is obviously close to their ears.     I'm new here, so Hello everyone!!! Been going thru a lot of strange medical issues. But have any of you went to an ENT and they tell you it doesn't look like cancer and send you on your merry way? I'm totally confused, frustrated and upset now.
