Oral cancer or oral cavity cancer, a subtype of head and neck cancer, is any cancerous tissue growth located in the oral cavity. It may arise as a primary lesion originating in any of the oral tissues, by metastasis from a distant site of origin, or by extension from a neighboring anatomic structure, such as the nasal cavity or the maxillary sinus.

Hi my name is Donna and I was just diagnosed with Squamous Cell cancer on my tongue. Monday I go to see a ENT at Taussig Cancer Center in Cleveland. Anyone  care to share your journeys with me.

Hi D24. I see you posted in November. I wanted to see how your journey is going. And perhaps share my own. I should find out today if I have tonsil cancer. I’m in Texas area.

Interested in how you are doing.

I was diagnosed with a tumor on my false vocal cord in April of '18 and it is Squamous Cell cancer. I have had 8 chemo and 35 radiation treatments of my neck. As of first of August the cancer is gone. But the healing process is slow, undefined, and much harder than the treatment. Struggling to swallow and not eating. I am being tube fed now as I have lost so much weight and have no desire to eat.

How are you handling this?
