the ingredients are; Cascara Sagrada Bark, Red Clover Blossom, Sheep Sorrel Plant, Barberry Root, Echinacea Root, Licorice Root, Devil's Claw Extract, Sarsaparilla Root, Prickley Ashe Bark, Burdock Root, Bladderwrack Plant, Rosemary Leaf. Maybe this will help, if anyone knows about the rest of the ingredients. thanks to all
Capt Dan, Is this the Unicity brand? A quick glance and these do look good. I'm taking many of them myself.
Just ordered a tea from Mountain Rose Herbs, called Persephone's blend. Organic Dandelion root, organic Burdock root, Oregon Grape root, organic Yellow Dock root, organic Eleuthero root, organic Milk Thistle seed. I made some up today, it's pretty good tea. I also just ordered bladderwrack, ginger, reishi and alfalfa.
Here is a list of herbs to avoid on Hep C. You can see if any of these are on the list. There is also a list of herbs for the liver. http://hcvadvocate.org/hepatitis/factsheets.asp
Look for the heading Hepatitis C and Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) about half way down. And remember that they are extreme.
They say to avoid sarsaparilla root. They also say to avoid Spirulina, but a search on google of "spirulina danger" showed that it's microcystins that we need to avoid by getting a good brand. I use Earthrise spirulina, Now brand is awful. I tried NOW brand and it made me feel worse.
