Been on the 4 teaspoons a day (scoop is supplied in the container) for approx. 2 months, and the usual symptoms have subsided a great deal.
This is the main ingredient that I use, aside from the weekly vit c IV drip I give myself, and all seems much improved;
Despite all my years of previous efforts with vit c, ozone, herbs, and actually there is probably nothing I haven't tried, except for urine therapy, anyway, nothing has given me the clear tongue and normal end digestion that monolaurin has.
And one great thing more, is that you can take it anytime, with or w/out food, just take it; it doesn't have any side effects or interference.

Monolaurin is made from coconut oil. Monolaurin has antibacterial and other antimicrobial effects. I think we talked earlier about it being antiviral, just as coconut oil is.
I have had hcv 40+ years; always have acute/chronic symptoms like the usual fatigue, poor digestion, brain fog, mild depression, aches and pains, as well as others-------unless--I do something about it.
For the last 2-3 years, I have been getting relatively good results by giving myself vit c IV drips, but that can become a little harsh on the veins and body overall;
Ozone in just about all forms is another. These keep my viral load extremely low, but if I slack off the virus comes back with a vengeance.
Monolaurin is keeping that from happening; I'm able to stop doing so many IVs, and other efforts.
Another thing I do as a pulsed therapy is LDN. What I mean by -pulsed therapy- is to take it in sporadic doses; because taking it each night can cause insomnia; but this is one drug I would highly recommend.
I take 3 mgs 2-3 nights a week;
It blocks the bodys production of endorphins, tricking it into putting out more that usual, which in turn moderates the immune response, and the additional endorphins give a sense of well being, and what runners call that "runners high"
My personal experience is that it gives me that feel-really-good-stretch each morning; the kind where your muscles actually feel good. And the rest of the day I have good energy as well.
I am not an advocate of drugs, we all agree that they can be toxic, but this is the one I make an exception to; it is very low dose naltrexone, has no side effects except described above; is cheap, and recommended especially for immune disorders..
BTW, I just followed that naltrexone link; -that is almost completely in another category all together.
For our purpose, we are talking about 3mgs each dose, not 350 mg
At 3 mgs, there are no other effects except as I mentioned.
This treatment came about because Drs began to notice the positive results when they had to lower the doses, because their patients couldn't tolerate the upper doses.
I remember reading and talking about LDN. Several people I know of that are on it. That low of a dose sounds pretty safe, but still you need a Dr to prescribe it, yes?
You could go through the effort of buying 50mg pills from India at Alldaychemist (not sure if I have the name correct) and break them down, or dissolve and divide doses; that's as accurate info as I have, because I didn't do it; just posting what I recall......The doc I see is a big fan of turmeric and ldn; says he would like to see 90% of his patients get on both; you could say he's an innovative kind of doc, I think.
I get 30 -3mg doses for $31 , and I only take one every other night, so it last awhile.
btw, there is one aspect of it I forgot to mention, at least this happens to me; anyway: If I do it a couple nights in a row, I may wake up around 1am and realize that I feel awful, -that I think is when the ldn is actually blocking production of endorphins; -if I am lucky enough to go back to sleep (usually), that's when the body produces more than usual to make up for being tricked.
Just thought I'd share that, so you know what might happen. Dosing is one of the big controversies, and sometimes it's disruptive, but when it's good, it's really good.

I am scheduled (for the second time) to begin treatment on Jan 7th, but they dropped the bad news on me last time I went there, and told me that interferon was going to be part of it, and now I've got some serious thinking to do; I know all the horror stories, but this is for 12 weeks, 95% cure, etc etc,
Today I learned of another trial close by without interferon, so I wrote them; waiting to hear back.
3 months is much better than 48 weeks! I just remember someone sent me a link about coconut oil and using it for oil pulling as a health treatment for the teeth. It's working. I've pulled 3 times. It makes the jaw tired, I have to keep resting, but it's making my mouth feel better.
I do an abbreviated version of the oil pulling with coconut oil, adding several drops of oregano oil to brush, then swish; seems to work better than toothpaste.
I will try and remember to do the pulling as well. The oregano oil works really well for a toothache; I avoided having a molar pulled by using it.
I am encouraged to do the interferon; my main concern is that I need strength and energy to do my job, and I have to work.
However, I have a question/theory that if a persons viral load is low to begin with, I wonder if that influences the effects of interferon; maybe making it less reactive in your body, so less side effects.
Just throwing that thought out there.
I can keep my viral load very low with vit c IVs, although it is a little harsh to do it all the time.
btw, I have not had an IV for a couple weeks, and usually by now, I slowly begin with subtle symptoms, best way to explain is a feeling of thickening of the blood, slowing down, pings and pangs in the liver, and joint muscle pain, but this time all seems quiet, so it has to be the monolaurin doing good.
I did oil of oregano for about a year. The brand that comes with the book THe CUre is in the Cupboard. I didn't get any effect on the HCV that I could tell from how I felt, or my bloodwork, but it's amazing for skin stuff. Back when I was young enough to break out, I put a drop on and the pimple seemed to dry up and disappear before my eyes.
Still getting very good results with the Monolaurin; now it seems that vitamin e is also synergistic; just feeling and starting to look well. I lost track, but I've been on it for 6 weeks? Also added ascorbic acid to the mono and put it in # 3 capsules to take several times a day. That's basically it, except for taking 3 brazil nuts, for the selenium.
exactly what (symptom and/or condition) are you treating with Monolaurin?
