It seems there's a problem from pee testing alkaline all the time, which mine is. For some reason, that's said to correlate with acid in body tissues. Makes no sense to me, but the foods to counteract this are all carbs and animal proteins. I thought whole food organic vegan was the healthiest diet, but now I'm trying to add more grains and even some eggs. I feel a bit sluggish from it, though.
On a different note, does anyone know any yoga poses that specifically help the liver? I have a steady practice, but I'd like to fine tune things. Thanks.
Carbs and animal proteins create acid in the body. You aren't by any chance using Kanga water, alkalized water or baking soda or any other strong alkaline?
I am going to disagree with that, based on the labtestsonline chart above. If the body is too acid, it gives off that acid in an attempt to balance the pH. If a body is too alkaline, the body will eliminate the excess alkalinity in the urine.
If the opposite were true, you would counteract by adding more alkaline foods, not more acid foods.
I think you're right. This didn't make sense to me. The woman I'm working with doesn't speak English that well, and the stuff she sends me in writing is confusing and often contradictory. I'm trying to eat more acid foods, but I've been gaining weight and feeling sluggish from it. (I've been eating more rice, corn, chocolate, and some eggs). I'm really happier as a vegan. But if this will get me better. Funny, the big craze in the health food community now is alkaline water, alkaline diet. And I'm already there and it's not a good thing.
