When I took the quiz on "how toxic are you?" I was grateful I'd never had to do flea treatments on my cats. So now I took the puppy to the vet, and she wants us to do the flea/tick treatment once a month. My husband and I did it tonight and wore gloves, but it's on her fur, and I don't like this. The vet gave us Frontline instead of Frontline Plus. She said it has one fewer chemical and stays on the dog's skin rather than being metabolized. This may be true, but if there'a a holistic alternative, I'd much prefer that. If not, we'll do it -- we can't have an infestation. I'll just be extra careful not to pet her in that area for 24 hours.
I'm so confused! I clicked on the link, which said to use Frontline. But the people writing in all s aid things like "How can you poison your pet that way?" What did you get from it, yes or no to Frontline? My holistic vet is pretty adamant, but she recommended chemo for my cat...
My cats are on revolution. I administer about every six weeks, and none during the cold months. Nothing worse than having a pet infested with fleas or ticks. Exp, if they share a bed with us.
Its your choice. Unfortunately, if we try a bunch of things that do not work, pet is exposed to disease carrying insects, and worms. If house & furniture become infested, I'll bet you'll be using poison or whatever it takes to rid the house.
