I took a look at your website, the Blog Archive. The latest one showed the fingernails, the first one: Lunula The white crescent shape at the base of your fingernails. If it is discolored, missing or non-existent it could mean nutritional deficiencies.
I only have that on my thumbs, I really appreciate educational stuff like that. I also like your username, I even already mentioned having trust in that power in my blogs. I'm glad you're staying in here with a positive attitude.
Being new to this, having GD for a year, I only recently discovered this website. It amazes me to read someone saying something like,
....oh I was diagnosed a week ago....and already they know about this site. I guess I am not familiar with forums.

I can completely relate. Funny coincidence- I had a partial hysterectomy prior to my latest flare up of Graves. Feeling warm was the first thing I noticed. I thought that I was having hot flashes and thought that I was going through premature menopause. I even left my daughter's pre-K graduation because I was too, too, too hot. I had to go home and shower. From that point, I didn't realize I had Graves for almost 3 years. Now with perfect 20/20 hindsight, I can now count at least 4 major flare ups over the last 20 years.

I have been regulated on PTU for 6 weeks or so and now my toes are always cold.
