Had an endo appt and he ordered more labs at his office for that day. I had labs last week, so it was only 6 days later. Been feeling very hypo, and he said if my numbers have moved even slightly toward hypo he'd have me stop the medicine. To me, I think they've moved more toward hypo (ignoring the tsh, anyway) Of course, its kind of hard to tell since the ranges are a little different from the two labs.

Wed's lab is listed first, then Last week's lab:
TSH 1.17 (.34-4.82) down from 1.54 (.34-5.60)

FT4 .62 (.70-1.80) from .64 (.58-1.64) these ranges are different, so not quite sure how to compare the FT4

FT3 2.1 (2.0-4.9) down from 2.9 (2.0-3.5) range was smaller on the one last week, so not sure how it compares, really, either. seems significantly lower to me

He told me to stay on my same meth level, that I look stable. So now i'm annoyed. I don't think that is too stable and I sure don't feel stable.

It seems you are hypo and need your meds decreased. Have you ever had tsh show up like this? Your FT4 is either at the bottom of one lab or out of range low at the other. What's the dose you're on? How long have you been on meds? Your tsh is showing because you're being made hypo and your body is trying to regulate it by making the tsh go up. Either that or you're in remission.I'd ask Elaine the expert.

your FT3 is low too, my range is 2.3-4.2.You're at the bottom of yours.

Hey sahm...you seem to be in the same situation as I was. What dose of meth are you on? Even though you are on Meth your generating TSH. Because of this, I would not ignore it as part of your equation. I agree with brans that you are hypo and a med reduction would be a good thing. Since your generating TSH and showing hypo...according to what Elaine told me ...that is an indication of remission, but your antibody tests have to be low as well. I cant remember what yours were. Could you remind us of them? I would say, at a glance without knowing your AB count, this is a good thing and can be easily fixed.

Ohhh, sorry...why the different ranges? Did you get your 2 tests done at different labs?

I am on 5mg/day right now of meth

Back in September, about a month after I went to the dr my antibodies were TSI 271 range 0-129 TPO 151 range 0-34

TSI in January was 2.4 range

argg tried it with and without parenthesis

range on the last TSI was less than 1.3, so its high at 2.4
had a TRAb in February of 10, with range less than 16 being negative

yeah, I've been to different labs. my endo is over an hour away, so I usually do them here in town. He had me do the last one in his office as he "knows their accurate"

Hi:

Cut the ATDs in half to bring the Free Ts back up to mid ranges to see if you feel your best there at.

Take care... :-)

P.S. Usually when the Free Ts goes too low or below the low ranges, that's when the doctors should tell patients to get off of the ATDs for a few days to allow the Free Ts to come back up.
