I now we are not suppose to use artificial sweetners but does anybody use truvia and did you do OK.

I really do not know anything about Truvia as I avoid it. Instead for sweeteners I use raw cane sugar and sometimes just Stevia. My 19 y/o son who is a Type 1 Diabetic, uses Stevia and also half and half Stevia and sugar.

P.S. If it bothers you as in one of the triggers, you would know because your heart rate could go up, and whatever other symptoms you get. Good luck...! :-)

That is my problem when I first found out I had graves I had the shakes real bad and couldn't sleep I never felt my heart beat fast and they told me it was 154 bpm. The only thing I did was get real short winded and don't want to get that way again. I thought about raw suger but I'm one of those rare graves patients who are overwerght. May try stevia cause I don't like the aftertaste truvia leaves. I can't lose any weight however cause I first started out I dropped 32 lbs in two months. Now one week I will lose 3 or 4 lbs and the next week gain it back. Bloodowrk Thursday and to the docs. Next Tuesday.

I thought Truvia WAS made from the stevia plant, no? I know that the holistic docs around here on the radio recommend Xylitol,it's the sweetener in the gum I chew Sprye gum.To me, it has no after taste, I tried Truvia and didn't like it either.I just don't know where you'd get it, the xylitol .Maybe an online health store like Swanson or Vitacost? I'll have to check into it.

I saw on the Truvia box that it listed "natural ingredients'. What are the 'natural ingredients"? That's the part I am wondering about.

oh okay,so it doesn't list everything...it figures,I guess it's got to be better than Splenda,I don't like either of them. I rather just have a little regular sugar,,haha!

Yea not crazy about the taste but my husband was told to watch his sugar at his last physical and i need to lose weight but I think I'm gonna go to raw sugar I don't use but about 1/4 tsp in my coffee anyway so tomorrow off to Walmart I go and will give this away.

I put about 1/2 teaspoon of raw cane sugar in my coffee and nothing more. I don't think it's enough to make such a big difference anyway.
