I have read that book and like that the author deals with the emotional effects of Graves' as well as the physical. I liked that he discussed the impact that Graves' can have on our personal relationships. I also like that he realized early on that T3 is important to supplement for some patients as well as T4. I recommend "thyroid for dummies" for your reading list and also "living well with Graves' disease" by Mary J. Shomon.
Thanks for bringing this up!

symptoms are getting worse. I just don't feel
"right" anymore. I'm reading this book and
everything in it describes all that I've been
going through in the past two years. I feel
like I'm losing my mind!

I'm not a doctor, just a caring thyroid advocate. Just thinking that if the Synthroid isn't helping, there is Amour to consider. Some people find that synthetic replacement meds doesn't work as well and natural replacement meds might be a better choice.
Also see where you feel your best with the Free T3 and the Free T4 ranges. Some people do better at mid ranges of the normal, others in the upper ranges and still others just below mid ranges. I do better by staying at mid ranges.
Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.
