I woke up feeling good and hopeful this morning. My eyes felt really good, then I started to get ready for a workout and had to handle my hair. I am so confused as to why I am suddenly losing a LOT of hair. I'm feeling really good, but losing hair. I already have permanent hair loss from a scarring alopecia, and now I'm losing what's left. I had a good cry today.
My last labs showed me as hypo, but the Endo wanted me to restart medication saying I was going hyper again (which I did not do). The previous labs showed extremely hypo and she told me to stop the medication. I have been off medication for 6 weeks and am going for updated labs tomorrow.
4/10/14 Labs (Endo)
TSH: .05 (.34 - 5.6)
FT3: 2.9 (2.5 - 3.9)
FT4: 1.05 (65 - 1.4)
3/19/14 Labs (PCM) - Stopped medication on 3/22
TSH: 4.89 (.35 - 4.5)
FT3: 2.5 (2.3 - 4.2)
FT4: .92 (.80 - 1.8)
It's interesting how the Endo lab ranges differ from the PCM lab ranges. We will see what this next set of labs brings. I'm hoping that my numbers have moved further up into my optimal range. I'm just using the endo for lab work. It's clear she doses my TSH and will cause me all kinds of issues, if I was to follow her protocol.

I suspect this doctor is dosing according to the TSH which cannot be used because of the thyroid antibodies involved.
I'd look for another doctor who understands about not using the TSH and goes by the Free Ts.
Your Free Ts are still too low.
