Hi, I have a quick question:
What's the smallest possible dose of methimazole?
Cutting a 5mg pill into quarters of 1.25mg is already extremely small -- has anyone ever been on a smaller dosage?
Also, once you're on a smaller dosage (1.25 or 2.5 daily) are people still able to follow the "twice daily" dosage protocol? Or at that point, since the sliver of medication is so small, do people just take one dose per day?

I am currently on 1.875 mg so I take it in divided doses of twice a day. 1.25 mg in the AM and 0.625 mg in the PM 12 hours apart.

Once I got down to 1.25/day, I took it once daily.
Some people get down to 1.25 every third day before going off meds.
I was too hypo at that point to do this.
