Long time since we've talked. Sorry to hear about your feet. I had a long list of foot/ankle problems, so sorting out what you might be dealing with..I come up with the most likely from what your describing, and your personal history.
Have they sent you hypo again ? If so plantar fasciitis is a fairly common complaint of hypo levels. Does the first step in the morning make you want to scream and cry ?
It was my best hypo post RAI friend that helped me through all this. Her husband ended up having to carry her to the potty in the mornings, and she's not a tiny girl. I ended up choosing an old fashioned chamber pot..Totally humiliating I gotta say. :(
Returning to normal for me thyroid levels was the main fix in the end. For right now, before you step out of bed, or up from your chair, work the foot/ankle muscles by moving the foot around and massaging them. Then the first step is not so bad. It still takes walking carefully, holding on to something to not fall down, to loosen things. Because no matter what, we do need to get to the potty.
I used a ball on the floor to roll under my feet and stretch out the muscles too. It can feel good, just go slow and gentle.
Until you get to normal for you thyroid levels, this is a real diagnosis, but not the same as people with no thyroid problems. They have a much steeper hill to climb to get relief. So don't let a doctor scare you. Okay ?
Here's the basic stuff...
