Question: Should we avoid iodonized salt ...?

...if we have Graves Disease ? I thought we were, and switched from using iodonized salt to iodine-free himilayan salt within my home. My TSH has shown to be lower and lower with every test. 0.07 last time. I dont feel like I have symptoms, but I have suffered from exhaustion after working too much / irregular work hrs.

Yes.

I read we get plenty of Iodine in our diet normally with trying to go for no more 150 mcg daily.

My multivitamin I take is free of Iodine as well.

P.S. the TSH cannot be relied on (or really looked at) when there are positive thyroid antibodies for Graves' Disease present. Go by with using the current Free T3 and Free T4 to assess how one is doing.

Dr told me i tested negative for the graves antibodies, but could still have graves disease. I have tested at the high end of normal for t3&4. Working on getting specifics. Thanks for your knowledge and reply :)

I knew this one gal from another thyroid board (that I moderate at) from many years ago who only had a TSI of a 2 and had full blown Graves' Disease. So really I believe any positive numbers for the TSI is a good chance of GD happening.
