I want to let you know you are not alone. We are all here to help you as much as we can. There are a lot of us that only have forums to help them as there families don't want to.
Have you had your raidio active Iodine treatment yet?
Here is something I would like you to do. IT might help to see if your nasia and stomach pain is caused by somethign you are eating. I want you to make a food diary. Write down what you ate and how you felt about an hour or so after you ate. Make sure you do it for the things you drink too. After a few days you should be able to see what you can eat and what you can't eat with out causing pain and nausia. Every one is different so different foods will act differenly to different people.
I can drink milk, some people with GD can't. So we are all different, so you will need to see what works for your body. I know things are hard right now for you, but this step will help you to be able to eat with out discomfort and then hopefuly you will be able to sleep better too.

P.S. I worte you if you where able to get it. I know computer problems are annoying.
I will go right now and pray for you! I have found that my family just doesn't "get it". they think it is a disease and the doctor will give me meds and it will be ok. That's why I like this forum. You can vent and the people actually know how you feel and can offer support.
I like the idea that AngelT gave about the food diary. One other thing that will do for you is give you a sense of "control". That is it makes you proactive with your symptoms so you don't feel so much like the victim. You are fighting back in a way.
I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we don't mind if you need to vent. We are here for you!
Unfortunately thyroid disease and its symptoms are not taken very seriously by our families and medical community. Here is a link that may help your family to understand

Copy this and give it to your family and friends..perhaps this will help them understand better. Big Hugs...Kathy
