I have been off my beta blocker atenolol 24mg BID for about 6 weeks. Since the middle of last week I have had trouble sleeping. I seem to just nap getting up and down several times and having weird dreams. So is this a sign I need to back on the betablocker.

This type of sleeplessness is typical hypo.
Not being able to get to sleep and restless sleep is hyper.
Fine line between the two and often mistaken due to how close they are.
Be sure you get a print out of your labs so you can see exactly what lab tests were done, the reference range and your current result.
Are you taking an anti-thyroid drug ?
For how long ?
