I had a TT 5 weeks ago and have been taking 0.15mg (150mcg) of levothyroxine since then.The last few days my feet have been causing me issues.When I lay now to sleep they start burning. Its like they are on fire and are hot and itchy. It is bothersome enough that it is starting to wake me up. I go for bloodwork on monday. It will be the first full set of labs since my TT so I dont even have an idea where my #s would be.

My first thought was I wonder how's your Calcium levels are doing? Then I looked up at this website and saw that burning feet might be a deficiency of Pantothenic Acid.

Thanks mm,I will resume taking my calcium for a few days and see how much it helps. I did have calcium and parathyroid tests done two weeks ago and never heard anything back so I assumed they were fine. I will inquire more about them on monday as well.

Consider checking and see if you have other deficiencies. I just found out recently about my low Iron (ongoing) and B-12 (new) deficiencies. I have been to many forums where people mention different B-12 deficiencies symptoms other than the usual ones mentioned. I have some of those unusual symptoms. One symptom I came across was burning hot feet.

Strange it that it only happens sometimes and only at night. Its also very hot here and I have been on my feet for 10 hour days. Same thing was happening to my mother in law last year but it was her LDL and HDL, mine are fine.

I googled it also and it said that thyroid dysfunction was a cause.
Maybe it is a symptom of levothyroxine.

There you go. But consider the possbility that nutritional deficiencies are found in many autoimmune diseases.

P.S. As for the Levo, anything is possible. I've read enough stories from others on the forums that their thyroid med caused problems. :-)

I hope you feel better, soon! Graves' disease seems to be full of surprises, and is just so weird. I effects just absolutely everything, doesn't it? I feel like I will never take feeling good for granted ever again and plan to savor every moment that I don't have hair falling out in clumps, or eyes popping out of my head or my heart trying to jump out of my chest, or my body feeling like it is being kicked all over by an angry professional soccer team.
There are other T4 replacement drugs, so maybe they should try synthroid for you? I guess some people are having some problems with the fillers they use for Levoxyl sometimes? Hopefully your symptoms will disappear soon!

Thanks Kathy but the lab called and she had to rebook me for the 4th of Aug. I am going to call the surgeon today to see if he has any suggestions.
