My levels are good, but I'm not good...

Has anybody ever had their levels tested to find they were all in normal ranges and still not feel very well? This is the case for me. My recent numbers are TSH- .963, Free T4- 1.14. I'm feeling weak, tired, trouble sleeping and also experiencing muscle spasms/twitching constantly. I'm not sure of the difference that's why I put both. I also am feeling nervous and slightly anxious to the point I've had to take some Klonopin to help calm me. I called the doctor today, but haven't heard back yet, of course it's a Monday. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with me skipping my medications a lot, I'm not going to lie. I was feeling so much better that I decided to play doctor and not take my MMI everyday. Looking back I picked up a prescription on January 8th for 30 days and just picked up another one on March 15th, so that shows how much I've skipped. I think there was a period I didn't take them for almost 2 weeks. I know pretty stupid huh?

Anyway, just wondering from all of you with terrific insight into this disease if this could be the reason I'm having these symptoms even though my levels are in the normal range?

You might be one of the few people who do their best with the Free Ts in the mid to the upper third range.

I don't know what your lab reference range is for your Free T4...?

If your Free T3 could be tested, it would explain the anxiety part. I get anxiety when my FT3 is too high and for some people when their FT3 drops, anxiety happens. We are all so different.

My free T4 was 1.14 is that in the upper third range? He did not test my Free T3 this time, he usually does, not sure why he didn't this time. Maybe because I've doing so good lately.

If you have a copy of your labs look on the right side of paper for the lab reference range. This will help you determine if your latest labs for the FT4 is either too high or too low to go with your daily amount of the MMI taken.

I went back and had a look at your old threads...your ranges for your FT4 is 0.82 - 1.77 With your last labs and your FT4 being at 1.14 you are very hypo. What are you taking and how much per day? It may be time for a med change since this is your level after missing so many days...Big Hugs...Kathy

Mid range for your FT4 level is: 1.295. It looks like for you to feel better would be aiming for mid range to the upper third range.

As Kathy says how much MMI were you supposed to be taking per day?

I take 10mg a day. My doctor said it had nothing to do with my thyroid, my symptoms that is. Ugh, I think it's time for a new endo, he never seems to take me seriously. Always about the numbers with him, he said well your levels are normal, you need to go see your primary doctor to discuss those symptoms. I am feeling a little better now that I am taking them again everyday, we'll see how long it lasts.... Thanks so much for all of your advice ladies. It means a lot! :)

It sounds like it's time for a new doctor and also time to make dose adjustments downwards from 10 mg to whatever to get your Free T4 to come up so you can feel better.

Hypo symptoms are not fune.

Ya maybe it's time for a change.... I'm feeling much better though now that I'm taking my medication daily like I said. I put them in a planner so I don't forget anymore because I think that is really what screwed me up. I only took 30 pills in 75 days, that's pretty bad!!
