Best thing though is to take an Iodine deficiency test first and see if a problem. If it's not the Iodine, then avoiding it would be wise. Too much Iodine has the tendency to increase the thyroid antibodies.
Hope the book is good.

I have been consulting with Dr Osanky for about a year. He is a great Dr with superior customer service. Many of his recommendations are common sense approaches for better health; such as eating healthy whole foods, excercise etc.
When I first started consulting with him my symptoms were mild and I chose not to take any medication and simply follow his advice. Within two months on the supplements and lifestyle changes my thyroid levels normalized and I felt great. After about 6 months he began reducing my supplements and at the same time I began experiencing a great deal of stress in my life. My grandma was terminally ill and I was having marital problems. About a month after that I started to feel hyper again- so I went and had a thyroid lab done and I was hyper again. This time my symptoms were much worse. So I am now taking a beta blocker and Ptu. Dr Osansky has been very patient and supportive during this whole phase. A few weeks ago I was exchanging emails with him daily working through my issues. It has been almost two months since I went hyper again. He has been very helpful and supportive. I am hoping that after my thyroid levels come back down I will be able to get off the prescription drugs again.
Obviously I am not cured but I do honestly feel that I have benefited from the advice and recomendations that he has given me. The supplements are expensive and are not covered by insurance. Which is one draw back. My supplements generally run between $250-$400 per month.
If you want to know more information let me know. I would be happy to share.
I have been on several homeopathic remedies for about a month, and have little to no symptoms, even though my free thyroxine is 6.1.
My question is, does Dr. Eric REALLY communicate with anyone in person? How do I get to talk to him? I have his book - pretty cool. I am just trying to find any way to keep my thyroid and, you know, not die (though my doctor said if i do not have my thyroid nuked - I WILL DIE!!! Ta-da-da-da!! Dramatic much)
I believe that he generally wants people to attend one of his free webinars before he will accept them as a new patient. If you go to his website http://www.naturalendocrinesolutions.com/free-webinars/ you can see whnen the next one is. You can also contact his office via the contact info on that page.
Let me know if you want to know anymore info.
It gives some info about the causes and symptoms of the disease, and some very generic advice on nutrition, stress management, and regular Rx. It alludes on every page to his Natural Thyroid treatment, but it tells you literally nothing about what it is. The book is an advertisement for his website, where he will sell you the treatment. It's ok - everyone wants to make money.
P.S. He says his natural treatment does not cure Graves - rather, it will get you to a point where your blood tests will be normal. Also, he says that homeopathic remedies do not work. Disagree.
All in all, the book is an ok overview of causes of the disease and life style changes to help treat it, but you will find nothing in it about his method.
