I was hoping somebody could help me.
I've had Graves and TED for about 4 yrs. I've had lots of pain and pressure in my eyes. So I went to the Ocular Surgeon a few days ago. He measured my eyes and didnt notice any changes. He also evaluated my eyes and didnt noticed any lid lag or misalignment. He also did a pressure test. The left eye was 14 and the right was 15. So he concluded that the pain/pressure was not the Graves.
I also got my blood test results and everything looks ok except for my TSH it was low (0.01). I do have a sinus cold so dr gave me a prescription for antibiotics. He thought that might be the cause of the pain in the eyes and the headaches.
I am still confused because I can still feel the pain/pressure in my eyes. I can't stand to be in the light. The symptoms feel very much like TED. Almost finished with the meds for the sinus cold. He gave me the Z-pack. Cold is pretty much gone.
Not sure what to think. Any thoughts? The pain/pressure is almost debilitaitng... :(

I'm sorry you are having pressure problems behind your eyes. :-( Does your sinus/cold medicine contain any epinephrine which will rev up the thyroid problem? It will also increase eye pressure as well. In addition, sinus problems will make the eyes feel full.
Do a google search on this and see if that's the case.
