I've had Graves/TED for five , no SIX years now. Male, 63yrs.
On lowish dose carbimazole 10mg/day and Levo. My bloods are currently all in range.
I wear specs with prisms, which normally keep me in single vision throughout the day.
What's bugging me (hah!) is that for the last 6 weeks I'm finding it harder and harder to stay in single vision. I've had a Lancaster test, and I'm told that the prescription for the prisms is unchanged. Has anyone got an explanation? A suggestion?

While I'm here I thought I'd mention that 6months ago I had a week of prednisone, oral, total dose 500mgish, for an arthritic problem. My eyes, one in particular stuck out much less afterwards. The endo says it's not meant to happen like that, but she agrees it did. Worth a go I'd say.

latest are FT4 16 (12-22) FT3 4.4 (3.9-6.7) TSH 0.73 (0.27-4.2)
but looking back (I keep a spreadsheet) FT3 & FT4 have always been a bit below mid range (except when they've been all over the shop)

How much Levo are you taking? Maybe adjust that one first?

My guess is...your doc is medicating you to bring your TSH up...if this is true...find another doc. Your FT4 and FT3 are your thyroid hormones and meds are based on those levels. We ignore the TSH because of the antibodies...they interfere with true readings..also...TSH is a pituitary hormone not a thyroid hormone. Bottom line is...you need to reduce your meds until you reach the upper 3rd of your ranges...if even the smallest amount of ATD keeps you below that 3rd...its time to test remission...Big Hugs...Kathy
