Grrrr! Now that is a good start. I saw one doctor and when I tried to show her all my info she said not sure where I was getting my info but the free T's are not a true test and you have to go b the TSH. So then after her exam she goes out and comes back with the head of the endo department along with him comes the third doctor. Because of nodules in my throyd they believe it may be a toxic thyroid or cancer. How ever they are not ruling out graves. So today I will have a blood test called thyroxine free,free triiodthyronine,thyroid stimulating hormone,comp. Metabolic panel2,and thyroid stim. Hormone Immglb. Then depending on what they show I will have a CT scan and some sort of test where I will go off my meds for a week and stay off till three days after the test.
They scanned over my material and then laid it aside and all three said it was wrong. So here I freaking go again.

Most people with thyroid disease do have nodules. So if your TSI is positive, it really is not necessary to go for a radioactive scan.

Give them a chance girl, it might turn out good. And since I am not Grave's either anymore, I can also talk to you from my window frame, which also agrees with Brans, you might have Hashi's or Hashitoxicosis.
I went to see my new endo in Seattle this weekend and he was very very awesome. I will not hijack this post but longstory short: Last year I was diagnosed with Grave's and this doc explained me exactly how and why he thinks I have HAshimoto's/HAshitoxicosis, a very unstable form. He sees only 5 patients per year like me and thyroid is ALL he does. I am telling you this not to make you think you migh have Hashi's but just to keep your mind open for possible other options.
Certain things like splitting your dose might be very useful and even common sense but it is not detrimental for good care if a doctor is not familiar with this practice.
You are not feeling great, not have been for a long time, and I understand the urge to feel better, believe me. But the tests they have ordered are not that odd, I think so why not give it a little time and just see what they come up with. It is free care and as long as they are not taking your thyroid out or radiating you untill you glow, you might want to keep your might open and give it a chance.
