When my husband took me home I was groggy and I had ointment on my eyes. They were swollen shut. I could not see for at least a day and blurry for another day. My daughter took me to the bathroom for two days and helped me eat. I was medicated and slept a lot. I was taking pain pills and an ointment in my eyes. MY eyes were sore but with the pain pills was not too bad. The ointment stung a little. My daughter and husband had to do that for a couple of weeks I believe. They kept a note book with everything I did. Even my talking out of my head. They got a kick out of that.
I had black eyes for a couple of weeks. The swelling gradually went down. I could see straight now. I still see double when I look side ways or up and down. My eyees still get irritaded and water when I go outside. They bright sun does not bother me as much now. My eyes are looking more normal everyday. I use cool cloths, rince my face, put baby oil or vasaline around my eyes and use lubrcating eye drops regularly. Hope this helps.
