am'I going hyper again.

OK Meth was lowered from 40mgs. a day to 5. First week was rough second a little better arms don't hurt as bad,but now I have been up for the last three night no sleep and if I do then I have crazy mixed up dreams. Memory seems to be a little better but am I going hyper again. Not the least bit sleepy but tired and a little stressed. Next lab work not till 11/13

It might be that the 40 mg down to 5 mg of MMI was such a huge drop for you. Usually though in my case, cutting the doses in halves from the old doses is what I have done in the past as I dropped downwards.

Hopefully you hang in there to get those labs soon enough and see where you are at with the changing Free Ts.

That is a huge drop in meds. If that were me on PTU it would translate to going from 400mg to 50mg. You will likely get all kinds of symptoms both hyper and hypo...hang in there as mmz said...Big Hugs...Kathy

Snippy, like the girls said, that was a big drop, but you needed it, you were on way too much.Your labs were well below range on the frees.If you have a health food store near you or you can order online,look for "calm and calmer" (it's a supplement) or you can try L-theanine, it also calms your mind but is not a prescrip. The docs on my holistic healthline up here are always telling people who can't sleep or are wired or their mind can't shut off, to take these.I think you're feeling the change in your hormone levels and it'll take another week or so to maybe balance out. They must be going up, which is good. I think 5 mgs should keep you from going actually hyper. You can also try some magnesium and calcium at bedtime, that'll help too, to relax muscles. Try to do some deep breathing before bed too, like breathe in slowly to a count of 5 through your nose, then out through your mouth to a count of 5. Do this about 5 or 6 times. It does the trick for me when I feel stressed.
