My daughter was diagnosed with Graves when she was 5 years old. It all started with her having such pain and weakness in her legs that she couldn't walk. We went through a lot of tests and medication before they found the right diagnosis.
The problem is that they never really confirmed that her pains and weakness really was caused by Graves. She has been well for years but this summer the pain in her legs and arms started coming back. This time her thyroid had shifted to being hypo instead.. Still the doctors didn't think that her inability to walk was caused by Graves. So we have spent hours and hours in the ER when she has her "episodes". They can't find anything and just send us home. She rests for a Day and then she's fine. Until next time..
She gets warm and very very tired. Pain and weakness in her legs and arms. When she walks she often falls down, like some kind of spasm in her muscles. She says that it feels like she has no muscles in her legs at all. After some time resting it always passes.
Anyone who recognizes this as part of Graves disease?
I Read a little about myopathy caused by thyroid disease. Anyone with experiece of that?

I am sorry your daughter is having issues. It appears that perhaps her thyroid levels are not in the 'right' places to feel better there at.
If you have any recent labs along the last few months of the Free T3 and the Free T4, we can better help you to try to figure what is going on.
Your daughter is not taking any medicine for the thyroid, correct?
