I don't know why it cut me off but it did so I will finish it in this one. Anyways, my TSH receptor antibody was high. My physician referred me to a endocrinologist and she diagnosed me with Graves. During my appt. she talked about treatment options and actually recommended radioactive iodine therapy. After doing more research however, I would like to try the ATD.
I guess my main goal is to talk to others with this disease, find out what treatment plan they went with, and also find out any side effects. Remission stories would be great also!!:)

You will find that most Endos are very trigger happy to rush their patients out right away to get an RAI. My first one was the same way. So glad I went the ATD route and been doing great on wee doses the past 10 years with only one blip when thyroid levels went out-of-whack because of having taken an antibiotic which raised the Free T3 level for me.
No remission story from me because I have several autoimmune diseases which makes it harder for any remission to come by for me. However with following a healthy and nearly as free as possible of organic diet for me and avoiding the dietary and environmental triggers known to set off autoimmune diseases, I have done as well as I can.
