You will find that most Endos are very trigger happy to rush their patients out right away to get an RAI. My first one was the same way. So glad I went the ATD route and been doing great on wee doses the past 10 years with only one blip when thyroid levels went out-of-whack because of having taken an antibiotic which raised the Free T3 level for me.
No remission story from me because I have several autoimmune diseases which makes it harder for any remission to come by for me. However with following a healthy and nearly as free as possible of organic diet for me and avoiding the dietary and environmental triggers known to set off autoimmune diseases, I have done as well as I can.
