I go for my second endo visit Wednesday morning, any suggestions on questions I need. One I'm sure I need to ask is why I'm is why I'm 40mg.of methimazole. I would appreciate any help I can get here. This is still new to me. Thanks

If your Free Ts are at mid range, it would be time to begin lowering down the MMI. Also get any thyroid antibodies tests to see how you are doing. Get a standing lab order to get labs every four to six weeks to be able to reduce the MMI to continue keeping the Free Ts at the 'right' places where you feel your best, etc.

Don't let your doctor dose you by the TSH which it can't be because it's ruled by the thyroid antibodies. If he/she does, run away and find another doctor.

Thank you so much for this advise one day i will have this right. If she suggest RAI I'm gonna stall come home research and discuss. I mean if you have to take medicine adfterwards why be ina hurry.
