I am a little concerned with being incorporated. I guess I can see their point, as a corporation. But as an individual becoming incorporated means you put all assets at risk. If that company should choose to sue you for some reason, your home and everything you own would be considered legal for a court to take away. That is the advantage of an LLC. They cannot touch your private home, auto, etc. You also cannot usually take deductions on these items.
It is not impossible to do, certainly, but there is a risk factor. Just so everyone knows. A lot of people still choose to incorporate. There are some advantages.
The only thing I don't like about incorporating is the paperwork!!! You have to have a board of directors, pay a salary, withhold taxes and do all of the things GM and other major corporations do. Of course, you also get the loopholes, writeoffs and other benefits - so maybe it isn't that bad once you get used to it.
I'm thinking about signing up myself. You can choose your own hours, so I could do my writing as well...
