Hello-it's been awhile since posting here. My question pertains to acquiring an attorney. We have custody of our two grandsons ages 5 and 9. They have a court appointed attorney but some people have told my wife and I that we should have one too. One more thing to pay for????
What could an attorney do as far as helping my wife and I with? I would assume that if the time comes for adoption process then we would need one.
Has anyone here used an attorney for themselves as Grandparents and did they help you or just tell you what you already know and charge more money??

But if CPS is involved and working towards some type of reunification with either parent, then I would get the best attorney you can possibly afford. This is how we lost our granddaughter the first time. Even though we were paying a fortune for our own attorney, he didn't know how to handle this.
