What kind of a mom do you think I am?!!!!!

Sunday,I informed her boyfriend he was not to drink around my 17 yo daughter. He had smelled like a brewery when he dropped her off previously. He was all apoligetic said he had only had one, it would never happen again....I asked my daughter if it was her intention to have her baby around an alcoholic. She gets all indignant . "what kind of a mother do you think I am? I would never allow alcohol around my son!"

Last night the daughter uses my car for 2 hours, apparently took my credit card and her boyfriend signs for beer and ciggarettes. I confronted her. she just keeps saying she will pay me back on Friday. WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING!!

She turns 18 next month. I get custody in 3 weeks. How much shit can she do to me, how much lying stealing betrayal does she think I can put up with? I love her. However I dislike her . I am starting to feel like I dispise her. I cannot take much more.

WHat kind of a mother... hmmmm An irresponsible, lazy, put yourself first clueless, ungratefull, hypocritical egg donar who lies cheats steals and who is not above using your own child to excuse yourself and control other people.


Sorry I have to Rant I cant seem to calm down.

Of course I would never say that to her. That much honesty would be verbal abuse. Instead I just sit back and hope for her to grow up, and hop I'll never have toask her"What kind of a mother are you?"
please Lord, help her to grow up.

honey you just vent all you need to, we are here for you, hope things get better, I understand how you feel tho. My daughter left her sone here 12 years ago came back stold a bunch of stuff from us, then got mad and was going to take her son into her drugged world because we wouldent give her money, you are not alone, God Bless you and help you through this stressful time

Boy can I relate with you. My son has lied to us stolen from us. I'm going through a love hate with him, I love him hes my son right but at the same time I really don't like him. I'm going through some conficking emotions. All I want to do is scream and yell. I have thrown him out I couldn't take it any more. So I really know what your going through this is one of the reasons I joined Daily Strength. And the people here really help you get through even if all you want to do is rant. God bless

yeap been there ,not with my daughter, BUT with my son and the mother of our grand daughter.
He is doing better....right now that is.
She is doing better....right now that is.
When it comes to Meth I really don't know if there is much of a future for them.
I morned the lose of my son several years ago because I fiannly realized the boy I raised was no longer here. I miss him like you wouldn't beleive, but i know he's gone. (As I sit here and cry once again)( All apart of the morning)It did help once I got to that point.
Does that sound terrible???

been there, and you rant all you want. its so hard to see our kids do this. my mom inlaw told me something that made me feel better.... you really dont know how your kids will turn out till they are in their 30's,,, lets all keep our fingers crossed, and our toes, heck and our eyes too

I remember all those feelings years ago when my daughter had her baby and wanted to try and keep the birth father involved. He was on drugs, as she was, and running from the law. We went through being stolen from, used in so many ways, and lied to constantly. We took the child when it was apparent that she was not thriving well and social services was going to get involved.
Boy, the stories I could tell, like all of you.
My GD is 8 now and the mother has grown out of much of this behaviour but it is too late to just take the child back now. We have helped them to keep a relationship going through the years, but we still remain the source of peace and safety for our gd.
I remember thinking how much I disliked my daughter too even tho I loved her. I cryed so much. I couldn't understand her behavior, it was nothing like how we raised her.
Well, I don't have answers but I relate to you and your suffering.
