Just another waste of our time!
My husband and I got there early, 8:00 a.m. and checked in. We got called in to the hearing my son was there bio mom is still in mental hospital they called us in around 10 a.m.. The judge was going down the list naming who was there the lawyers, family along with which Bio's was in court room. He noticed that my Son's lawyer wasn't there so they went out in lobby looking for him (he was there earlier) and they couldn't find him. So, the judge says move this hearing to the list. We ended up staying, holding in having to go to the bathroom because we never knew when we would be called....it came to 1:30 and I grabbed the baby's attorney, told her I know we don't have to be here but we came because we wanted to make sure everything went through...she said she was sorry but the judge seems to be punishing my son's attorney. That just pissed off my husband even more...we took off work and tried to show we care about my grandson and the judge is punishing the attorney by putting us at the end ! which only punished us?? We told the baby's attorney we couldn't wait any longer because we are 1 hr 1/2 away if there's good traffic and we can't take a chance that we are late picking up grandson at daycare....
Now, I will have to wait to find out what happen...I went through the worse stress on getting my part done for the homestudy in a short time line which only made the SW look good and I still get jerked around...my son got his phone ripped off. I will have to call the attorney's office tomorrow....

Now, on to the next phase...Adoption hearing
I was told that I should receive the court papers in the mail soon then, in a month adoption paperwork I think may have an adoption date. My SW was suppose to have our monthly visit on the 14th but stood me up; I had to call her and that is when she told me about the TPR hearing. She is scheduled for make up visit on the 28th and then I will ask more about the adoption process. I also heard that finalized adoptions can take up to 6 mths. However; they said if I hand deliver paperwork they will take a month to be court stamped. I'm not sure if all states are the same in their process.
If, I was in your situation I wouldn't go to that TPR hearing, either. You don't need their toxic waste thrown at you.
