Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. Road trip was fantastic! We made a stop at Leighs ferry, which is part of the Colorado river, then just up from that was stone dwellers, which reminds me of the Flintstone houses...I knew I had a generation gap when the kids didn't know who the Flintstones were...Hahaha!
We didn't make it to the Zoo, instead we went a little farther up north to an amusement park called Lagoon. GS was one inch above the minimum height for all the rides which made it great as he could go on all the rides!
I've been working on GS (son) potty training. While we were in court on Tuesday for the adoption, something clicked and he started using the bathroom... This continued on our trip!
We stopped at my nieces home in Utah so all the kids could play, they even came up with us to the Lagoon! I drove the 669 miles home yesterday, did it in less than 12 hours which really wasn't bad.
I want to thank everyone for the wishes and blessings given on our adoption on Tuesday.

I'd love to do a road trip one of these days. It does sound like fun. Did you have an RV or just use the car? My stepson and his wife just got one of those RVs that you can tow on a pickup. It's really, really nice, and they've been having a ball every weekend. They said we can borrow it whenever we'd like to go somewhere.
Ideally I'd love to take a month and do the whole country. What fun that could be!
