Back in August we had a treatment meeting with dd therapists, dd, us, and gd therapist. it was agreed that we would pay for hair drug testing. (i never wanted to pay for it but my hubby spoke up and said he would). DD had two different times she was to go get tested. She never went either time. In late September, early October information came to me she was involved with a violent offender convicted felon and was on a party with him when my dad had a stroke and had been calling her work saying her daughter was ill and she could not work. She has not had her daughter since August 2011. These two bits of information pushed me over the edge. Something snapped in me and i gave up on her. I asked for a meeting and I told the therapists that we were done. No more supervised visits, no more working topwards reunification as its not going to happen. If she goes and gets a free lawyer we will battle it out in court but in 14 months shes not done a thing to get her daughter back and her running with convicts and exploiting her daughter to get days off of work had made me detatch. We were done. Friday i get a text from dd telling me that if i send her the phone number of the drug testing place she will go. Im saying no. She has had since August 11th to go. She can afford dope and booze and if she wants her daughter she can pay for the tesing. Im sick of the roller coaster. A little girl is safe, secure and has had a consistant home. Weve not gotten any money for anything from dd or bio dad. we pay for everything. I dont think its on us to pay for her drug testing. Theres no court involved, we got legal custody over a year ago. What do you all think? Isn't enough enough?
