This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. All weekend we have been busy getting things ready for the reutrn of the kids. I called the daycare and we spoke about my kids coming home and how to work on the self bitting and potty training and long with allowing him to eat when ever he wants so he understands food will be offered to him, and not refused. I just love this daycare, they have been assisting me with my GS since he was 8 weeks old and they love him almost as much as me!
I got clean sheets and pillow cases on the crib and bed. We went out and purchased a new winter coat for GD couldn't locate one for GS, store said they should have them in next week. I'm not sure what will be sent back from the foster home, so we purchased a few winter PJ's for each and my husband and I both will be taking them to buy sneakers and shoes the day after they get here.
Today is Monday. We have to be back in court on Thursday for the severance hearing. My husband said he doesn't think CPS will bring them back until Wednesday, so they will be in compliant just before court. Court is at 9am. The only thing I would be able to do is drop them off at daycare for this time...Which sucks due to the fact, I'll just get them and then I'm dropping them off!

You know I shouldn't care because I got my GC, but I do still care about the Judge finding out about the Foster Home and the lack in safety from CPS. Why? Cause I don't want to see a child sent to that foster home and go through what my GS did. I already know the CW is not working with children or families any longer, but her APM should get something for allowing the neglect! I'm not sure how this information can get out. I'd love to send my journal to the Judge, but my lawyer said no because of the personal thoughts about people and the situation including the Judge is in there. I can scrub the journal just like CPS did with their notes, but then again...I would be lowering myself down to their level and if I can get this information out, my timeline is right on and I wouldn't want it to be any other way.
Anyone have any ideas?
Contacting the local paper is good, people like to hear how screwed up CPS is. Can you also write letters to the judge, the head of human services and how about your governor? Just outlining the whole ordeal and how you "know they care about children and accountability to taxpayers" lol!
I think I see a book deal in your future!
I took a good tongue lashing from the Judge last week on how I put the kids in possible danger with "supervised" visits. I stood there and took it cause I knew the Judge was going to give me the kids and he has no idea what the state allowed and what the Foster Home put them through, I envisioned egg on his face which kept me from getting unglued during his lashing. I can say who cares what you think I know the truth and I get the kids back.... I have such a sinking feeling when I think about other kids.
Based on my fight for the kids, I have removed the CW from having decisions towards children and families. My case has also made it manditory for CPS for have written safety plans to all kincare givers and monitors within this area of AZ and maybe the state (not sure).
I just recieved word the kids will be returned to me on Thursday afternoon!!!!
You certainly did not deserve a tongue lashing-that pisses me right off! Good for you to remain calm, you are my role model!
You are obviously a good, morale, kind, strong woman trying to do the right thing who deserves a freaking award not criticism. Some of these judges need a serious smack upside the head!
