We just got back from vacation. My husband, my boys and me. Road trip to Denver Co. to see am old freind. It was great and I wanted to share some sunshine. It took us 3days to get there. There was lots of bonding it was hard to be in a car for 3 days with a 4 year old and 8 year old but we learned alot about each other not though words but just the stuff that goes on in a car the smiles, the fussing, and laughing. Oh ok and some crying LOL By the end of our trip we are all so much closer and made some great memories. My 8year old holding hands with my husband, my husband feeling the love of that 8 year old WOW. There is something about long road trips that just brings you together. I learned that my husband and I need more time to talk without the boys(this we got to do while they watch DVD players with headphones) My husband and 8 year old bonded more without TV and Basketball(because they couldnt do that in the car) My 4 and 8year old learned to help each other (stuck n the back seat together) and me I need more time away. My phone only rang 2 times in 7 days and I could count the number of text messages I got on one hand. I know I didnt have service in alot of areas but I Loved being disconnected from the rest of the world. I loved being with my old freind and my time with my boys, I do miss my live as an empty nester but I cant go back to that live I would miss what I have now. Thank you GOD for wacthing over us and keeping us save on our trip
