Sorry I haven't been on much.Alot is because for some reason my computer will not let me,it freezes up and I have to turn it off and then back on to do anything.
The boys are doing great !! Growing like weeds! Still trying to get custody of their sister who is in foster care in ILL.My hubby is having his hip replacemnt surgery on the 25th and I have been trying to get every thing ready for that and when he comes home.Please keep him in your prayers as he has some other health issues that make this a very dangerous surgery for him.As for me I am still having some health problems but am learning to live them.
Now for the rant: We usually go to my mother in laws every Sunday and holiday for diner.We didn't go yesterday because of my 3 year old great nephew lives there and he bit my 2 year old 6 times last Sunday and nothing was done about it. We decided that the best way to protect our baby was to keep him away for awhile.Any way my sister in law stopped by on her way home from there yesterday and gave me a list of food to make for Easter diner.I ask her what's this for we won't be going up there so soon after Darrell's surgery [just 10 days].She told me that I needed to talk to her mom about it.So I called my mother in law and told her that we wouldn't be there and told her the reasons why: Darrell couldn't be out riding around in the car that soon and that he couldn't climb the 8 steps to her porch to get in the house.Her responce was this: "They will have him up the same day he has the surgery and he should be walking good by then and there are enough boys to pick him up and carry him in the house." I told her that we could either all have Easter here or they could have it there and we would stay here and have a quite Easter here with our kids.She said that nobody wanted to have Easter here,that there wasn't enough room [I have almost an acrea yard] and that we would just have stay at home and she got all mad at me and told me that she would come get her son herself if she had to.I tried to explain to her that these were dr's orders and that I had to do what was best for my husband.To this she said "You'll see" and hung up on me.My husband called her back and tried to explain it all to her again and she still refused to listen just made it out like I just didn't want him around his family when we have been there every Sunday and holiday for 10 years.She just kept telling him that she would come pick him up.We have been married for nearly 11 years and she has never acted like this before.She has always been sweet and nice to me.We have always had a close loving relationship.We do everything together.I don't know if its the stress of knowing his life may be in danger or what but she was just being completely unreasonable.I don't want my hubby pulled between us and him worring over this when has surgery.I just don't know what to do except maybe have the dr talk with her. Any sugestion????

In all the years I have known her I have never seen her behave this way.I just don't know what is going on with her.Could she be afraid of loosing him because his health is so bad? This is so out of carector[sp?] for her. She has always been the most loving and supportive person you could ever meet.None of her children have ever had to go through something like this,something that could actually threaten their life.She has always been a wonderfull mother,mother in law and grandmother even to my kids who are not her biological grandchildren.She does choose the one grandson [she raised him] and his children over the others but they never really notice because she is a really good grandmother.
I have never had to assert myself as his wife before with her because she has never been one to interfere in her kids' marriages.
I had similar problems with my MIL for years however it took my husband dealing with her for her to get the picture
