We have snow in the North part of AZ, so I plan on taking the kids out of school on Friday and enjoy the weather. Last night we were pleasantly surprised with snow in the dessert where we live! I got the kids dressed and out the door. GS never saw snow before, we enjoyed watching him run out grad some snow and throw it at his sister... Game on! Our oldest GD was surprised because at her school they had no snow (which is only 3 miles down the road) She and my husband came home from her concert at school and made a snowman which is floating around on fb.

This morning the snow/slush is still with us. I teased the kids and told them they will have to go to school tomorrow since the snow came to us...LOL!

I just thought a little special fun interest might help all who are struggling

I'll be glad to share my joy and send you some of our snow. It is snowing sideways right now and can barely see across street. Maybe you can send me some of your sunshine!

I love those moments when we really connect with the kids. I asked our middle granddaughter what she wanted from me and she said "more time." So on Wednesday night while the other two were at their drum lesson I took her out to dinner. She chose Red Lobster because she loves seafood and I'm the only other family member who loves it.

We had SUCH a great time! It was so cute: She told me she thought it would be "awkward" because we wouldn't have anything to discuss. Turns out she didn't shut her mouth for even one second all evening long. LOL!

Now I'll have to do it with the other two, and my husband said he wants to take them to dinner with him as well.
