"Prosecutors say Chevonne Thomas had lost custody of Zahree Thomas in 2010 when she allegedly left the boy unattended in a car. At the time authorities say she admitted having smoked marijuana laced with PCP and blacking out in a park.
Friends say she must have been out of her mind on drugs last night when she killed Zahree and herself.
"It was drugs. She had drug issues and the drug that she was on probably enhanced emotions that she had or whatever she was going through," friend Raushanah Palmer said."
HOW ON EARTH DID SHE GET HIM BACK???????????
This is enough to keep me up nights. Also, the comments from neighbors:
"She was a good mother. She helped the family, she helped the neighbors, she helped everybody," said one neighbor who did not want to be identified."
No. She. Was. NOT. A. Good. Mother. But she got her kids back.
Something has to be done!

when judge gave GB to bio mom in 2008 I had documentation of bio's BF living in the house and was currently in jail for possession, CPS documented no food in the house, and no signs of a toddler living in the home. The power was disconnected and they were jumping the power meter to have illegal power. I had letter form her Dr. that stated I had a maternal bond with BG and bio mom had only been to one visit in two years and BG showed NO signs of ANY bond with bio. Letters from dentist stating I had been the only person that had ever been to appointments.
after three years CPS calls me at work telling me if we didn't take her she was going to FC because bio mom failed her drug test, GB was living in a hotel room with two beds and seven adults not one of which was bio who had left her with bio-GM. when we picked her up at like 6pm she had not eaten any FOOD all day, it was 100 degrees outside and she was were a pair of cut off sweats and a t-shirt with the sleeves cut out of it. and she came to us with only those cloths on her back. when I got her some cloths and gave her a bath she panties were so nasty I had to through them away and she was red as a fire truck in that area and complained about it hurting. Her hair had been buzz cut because of head lice, fourteen of her baby teeth were decade to the point she had to go to surgery to have caps put on them and one had to be pulled. She was about 15 pounds over weight from NO activity and drinking milk with Hershey's syrup in ALL DAY and eating Little Debbie's at will. She had not had ANY shots or been to the Dr. since I last took her.
and I thank GOD everyday that that is all that I got her in time.
After we had her GB's aunt (her dad's sister) told us that when they went o set up her trust fund after dad passed bio mom wanted to know what happen to money if something happened to GB before her last trust fund payment... CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE WOULD EVEN CARE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO IT.
these poor babies are being used as an experiment for CPS to see if they give bios enough chances will the change. problem is most of the time the out come is tragic.
Until that happens we are going to see more and more of this.
I was under the impression when there is a murder, whether you pulled the trigger or not, if you were there, you were an accessory to that murder and you'd be convicted as such.
What that mother did was murder suicide. Because the CW and Judge gave the child back to the mother, I would surely think they were an accessory to the fact! But CW and Judges are protected. Now if it was one of us, who decided to give our GK back to the mother, you can bet your lucky strikes the legal system would come down on us as if we pulled the trigger!
Now, if we can see that the bios virtually never get their acts together enough to get our grandchildren back, why can the professionals see it as well?
JEEEEZE!
Meanwhile we're struggling to stay afloat, but there may not be enough of us to get attention. But we have to keep writing letters and hounding our Congresspeople, Senators, etc. etc.
