Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. Join the support group to find support, share your experience, and get advice from other members.
I appreciate all the kind words and prayers from everyone.
I am doing ok, I guess, considering everything I am going through right now. I have started counseling which I know will help me. I think about my husband all the time. I live on a farm we had built together. Everything reminds me of him. My heart feels like it is constantly being squeezed. I cry alot. I try to only do that when the girls aren't here but sometimes I can't help myself. The girls are doing good. The youngest cry's occassionally for her Papa, the oldest says we shouldn't be said because Papa is in heaven, having fun and we will see him again.
I feel pretty good physically right now. I am thankful for that. I am continuing my fight with cancer. I pray I will be healed and will be able to raise my girls. Please keep the prayers coming.
Even though my life is pretty grim right now, I thank God every morning that he is giving me another day of living.

One point I cleaned my closet of black dresses and vowed I would not stand ready to face death.in my heart I feel I can understand you but experience has taught me that we cannot possibly understand your loss.
