I am new to the group, just need to know I am not alone and need advice on dealing with my daughter who has mental health issues. I have complete custody of my granddaughters. I am having some financial problems because of daycare for them, I work full time but I don't make enough. I love my granddaughters so much.

I feel for you. I have two grandkids that I'm raising with my wife. An almost soon to be 3 year old boy and an 11 year old girl. We have been there since they were. Infants, and our. Are responsibility as their parents are not capable of raising them themselves,
I cannot offer you any advice other than to remain strong and be confident that you are doing the right thing. I will say. Prayer for you.

You are not alone. Just finalized adopting a 5 year old granddaughter. I know that some states have assistance for daycare. You might want to check on that as well as counseling for yourself on how to deal with your daughter. If finances are a problem al-anon or nar-anon might be a source if the issue revolves around drugs or alcohol. They helped me get a grip on the drug issues my GD's parent have. Hugs

Try to see if there are any church or Christian daycares in your area. They usually accept what state aid there is and don't balance bill. I receive state aide through foster program. my daughter has mental health and both her and son in law but have drug abuse issues. I am going to be adopting my gd soon and have mixed emotions but know I'm better able to care for her.

Depending on the state you're in, there might be kinship care programs. I'm located in northeast Ohio and started a support group all4family17 on Facebook for grandparents and caregivers raising their kids within their families. It's a closed group so only members can see the posts, the privacy of our members is very important to us! I created the group 5 mths ago and we have 125 members due to mental illness(like my oldest daughter), heroin etc. I 've raised 4 children and now am in round 2, I have legal custody of my granddaughters 4yrs and 15mths
