Lately with ddmom doing so "well" with new baby of week , calls me upset with the fact her 7 yo whom she begged to have spend the week at her house needs something and she starts to say can't afford it but bites her tongue and gets off phone. NEWs FLASH KIDS COST MONEY.
Oh well at least she realized what she was going to say this time that's improvement ......

GD is not with her visiting is she?

I have one that is trying to get the newest baby released from DCF, yet he can not pay his phone bill, he has 5 people living in a 3 room apartment so they can pay the rent. How does he think he will afford it if he gets the baby and the roommates have to move out? Chow stupid can you get.

They just dont get it! Went to court yesterday for child support from my son for our gd. He was shocked and OFFENDED that his order is $300 wk. He convinced judge that since his own expenses are so high ($2k month rent and 2014 car lease) he would be poor at $300. He offered $100. We got $200. Now WE ARE OFFENDED! We do appreciate the money, but once again he gets off easy. They just dot get it. Never will, because so often the consequences are minimal or nil. He never took the 90 day hair test ordered by judge, and so what? Nothing happens at court.

Move to a cheaper house, get a used car! Get a freaking second job! Take care of your child at least financially!

Fuel to the fire - he also complained that he had to put a new "something and something" (alternator, etc, who cares) in his "daughter's mother's car". That's the mother of our gd, who drives a 2005 Mercedes SUV! He got her the SUV because she has these 2 girls to drive around, but they had already lost both girls custody 6 months prior. One girl is with us, the other with her bio dad (not my son). Why am I even talking about this? You all know how this goes - we live it. I am just venting. Am I am so glad you are here with me to listen and share.

If I had a dollar for every time I felt like saying the same thing to my step daughter I'd be rich. They just seem to be clueless. My brilliant bm informed us Friday she is moving here to take us back to court. She receives 900 a month from the government to live. Housing where we live might afford her to rent a room in someone's place. But she would have nothing for anything else like food. And we easily spend that much a month on her son's therapy as he has autism. There is no government assistance for it, and work benefits cover nothing. I think sure you are.
