I guess that's no compensation for their mommy-worship now -- probably because we're all still in the midst of dealing with said mommies who are no mommies at all.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Step daughter from current marriage has me listed as mom on facebook and has stated numerous times that I am the "parent" she trusts out of both her bio parents and her step parents.
I am hoping that whatever I did right with these two girls continues with my GD.
Hang in there. The mommy worship does go away.
Pinky comes down to a clean house, her meals are cooked, the pool is clean, yada-yada. ALL she has to do is have fun with the kids and then go home and enjoy her own life again.
We're the ones who have to carry out discipline, supervise unliked things (homework, chores), make them take showers and pay for everything (which the kids don't really understand yet.)
Just yesterday (before he wrote the "hero" thing), I drove Pinky and the kids to the mall. Pinky took them to get some more school clothes and shoes while I had a rare couple of hours to buy clothes that I desperately needed. She didn't even have any money, so it came from the kids' birthday cash.
I'm sure Pinky got full credit for that "fun stuff" and I guess I shouldn't begrudge her. I HATE shopping with anyone, child or adult. I want to get in, find what I need and get out.
So maybe he was thinking about shopping with Mommy and that's why she's his hero.
Still frosts me, though.
BUT...do you know up until about 2-3 years ago when he moved close to his bio and his bio started rejecting HIS child (GD) he would claim... I wouldn't be this if it weren't for my dad, dad taught me this or that, A lot of the way I am is thanks to my dad... HA!!! his dad wasn't around and when he was he was a douche bag... but I know that his success is because of the love and support me and hubby gave him... however I would still get so angry hearing him say that... but now he and his bio don't get along because his DD my GD keeps getting hurt by him and son DOES NOT put up with it... I never spoke ill of his dad always showed respect to him around the kids kept adult matters between us adults... his bio was the total opposite and in the end I prevailed...
