Peace and Quiet / Level Headed

I am very superstitious (along with level headed), so I have hesitated to put this in print, for fear of breaking the spell! We have had zero contact from gd's parents, Seven weeks mom, 4 weeks dad. No even a phone call from dad. Have only had 3 calls from mom since custody last Sept. It is so much better, as you can imagine. Another thought, this group is chock full of level headed people, unusual for web groups. I guess it goes with our territory. Gotta have your wits about you to do this gp/p properly. Appreciate you all!

I am so happy for you. Now the real family bonding is happening. I know it has been good for me. i do sometiimes walk around wondering when the bottem is going to fall out. I am enjoying everyday without biomom around.

4 weeks of no contact from bio mom. Love it. For me that means no notes since she does not call or visit.

This past weekend we had a family reunion with about 50 people. The girls had a blast connecting with all the cousins. So nice for them to be around and experience the love of a family without the drama.

Pinky has gone four weeks. And just when we think it's safe, up she pops again, calling every day and telling the kids that she's "making changes." Except for the weekend - that's when she goes on vacation with her latest ATM (Automatic Teller Man).

Congratulations, I know what you mean about he bottom dropping. We had two years of peace and now bio mom, that lives out of state, is talking about working toward taking gd to her home. To which, we've never seen, we cannot verify anything she says about life changes...which is why she moved to another state. Don't stress about if / when contact, just enjoy the peace!

Sarah for you...if Pinky disappears for weeks at at time.you have the right to tell her she can only call once a month. Give her a schedule, don't tell the kids to aviod disappointing them. If she keeps to the schedule make it twice a month etc. it's not fair to the kids to not know.

Just one day ago I wrote about the peace and quiet, and my superstition. Tonite gd called dad, and he's coming tomorrow. We have enjoyed the past weeks of no drama. Maybe tomorrow will be ok.

It seems like thats how things go for me, too. Not so much about visits, but about my adult kids' addictions. If one of them starts making headway, im scared to death to acknowledge it to anyone because it almost always seems to jinx it or something! I can totally relate, & i don't like feeling that way because I am a Christian & feel that superstition is the devil's tool.......sorry your apple cart got tipped over, so to speak. The peace never lasts long enough.
