I realized just today that gd has not been asking for dad, or asking to call him hardly at all in the past couple of weeks, and dad has not been calling or visiting. It finally made sense. Less is better with bios, and kids adapt. Gd has always been very attached to dad and I guess it was because he was around so much. That also explains gd never asking to call mom and hardly referring to her. Mom has been sporadic with visits, and nothing for more than a month now. Mom does not come or call by herself, and Mothers Day (last contact) was because it was at dad's apt so dad had her there. Things are much more peaceful for whatever the reason he is staying away, but our guess is that his hair test was positive. I talked with child therapist today, and she confirmed that is how it goes, out of sight, out of mind. And looking back here in posts, I see that's how it is. High marks for the judge that ordered the test! Way less drama here.
The maternal grandparents ( granddad and step gramma) who had the kids for 2 years told me how easy I have it with the gds, I have to agree. Maternal grandmother committed suicide and bio mom has made no contact other then by mail. On the other hand maternal grandparents had harassing phone calls, assault and battery, sexual abuse charges, etc etc, for the two years from bio mom and deceased grandmother.
Some times you just need to call their bluff to make them go away. Me, I am just playing it low and hoping the bio vanishes.
